Free Event Promoting A Green And Low Carbon Tipperary

Tipperary based organisation Cultivate are the organsers of the national Convergence Sustainable Living Festival, which is currently being held across the country. It aims to bring people together to explore a a healthier, happier, and more sustainable approach to the development of our communities.

Events are being held in Dublin, Carlow, Tipperary, Galway, Cork and Limerick celebrating and showcasing community-led sustainability and wellbeing initiatives. These events will focus on how to achieve healthy, low-carbon, sustainable communities and encourage increased engagement in green businesses, social enterprises, wellbeing projects and local energy initiatives.

On Wednesday the 20th a free session will be held in the WeCreate Enterprise Centre in Cloughjordan Ecovillage as part of the Convergence Festival. This evening event features short prersentations from Zero Waste Cashel, Tipperary Energy Agency, Energy Communities Tipperary and Tipperary Green Business Network will be followed by a key note presentations from Paul Allen, a Director at the Centre of Alternative Energy in Machynlleth in Wales. Paul is also the editor of Zero Carbon Britain, and will share the lessons and explore how we might empower citizens and catalyse change.

This event is hosted in association with the Tipperary Public Participation Network and the Tipperary Green Business Network and all are welcome to attend.
