Ballyhoura Country stretches from the north east of Limerick to the north east of Cork, bordering Tipperary and is flanked by the Ballyhoura Mountains.  The region boasts an impressive selection of accommodation options along with a multitude of activities and attractions for all age groups.  The Ballyhoura Garden Experience is one of the area’s newest attractions and features visits to award winning private gardens, a specialist rose centre, a nursery known as a plant person’s paradise and refreshments in a beautiful hotel garden. Its collaborators revealed how they came together, the challenges they faced and their vision moving forward.

The morning concluded with a presentation by Hilary Creedon, Failte Ireland who provided an update on Ireland’s Ancient East, Failte Ireland’s latest umbrella destination to inspire and attract visitors to Ireland.

“The objective of the morning was to encourage and facilitate networking and collaboration,” explained organiser, Sharon Noonan.  “It also provided an opportunity to highlight a fantastic new attraction in Ballyhoura Country which was created as a result of five businesses working together.  The feedback from the panel discussion and presentation by Hilary Creedon about the Ireland’s Ancient East brand has been very positive.  I am optimistic that more collaborative ventures will develop as a result of the event.”
