Feeding Ourselves Gathering – Accelerating the Transition to a Locally Based Economic Model of Agriculture and Food Distribution.
On Saturday 5th March in Cloughjordan there is a national gathering of food sovereignty activists, growers and people involved, or getting involved, in community food initiatives.
Some of the topics being dealt with are:-
Farm Hack
Biological Farming
Soil Nutrition
Working with Horses
CSAs in Ireland
Food Sovereignty
Community Co-operatives
Food Ecologies
The event takes place in the WeCreate Workspace in Cloughjordan Ecovillage from 10am to 5pm.
Admission is €30 (€25 CSA Network, Ecovillage, Cultivate or Food Sovereignty Ireland Members, €20 for Cloughjordan Community Farm members)

Later on that night at 7pm, people have the option of joining Farm Flicks, which is a community meal in a convivial setting and a screening of the film ‘Pollyfaces – A World of Many Choices’
The cost of this is €7 (€5 for Farm members & conference delegates). People are encouraged to bring a dish to share.
