Healy and Morris launch 2016 fight for change
“Throughout Tipperary a stand has been made since 2014, mirrored across the country, not to accept the practice of privatisation and commoditization of our water as a national asset, a public good and against the theft and sale of our national water infrastructure. This stand will continue in Clonmel on Saturday the 23rd of January 2016 and on the historic centenary of the 1916 rising the protest is not only about water.”
“Flood victims’ are currently reaping the seeds sowed by corrupt property practices during the false boom and our A&E services have turned into war zones that are critically underfunded, under resourced and under staffed. Tipperary’s mental health services are almost non-existent with children being forced to wait years for mental health spectrum assessment and services.”
“In all these areas, as well as in housing and farming, livelihoods’ are continually being eroded by mass privatisation. Cllr Séamie Morris of Sinn Féin and Seamus Healy TD of WUAG, both General election candidates, and community activists throughout the county are calling on the people of Tipperary to put their feet on the street and speak out about all these issues and to fight for jobs and investment.”
