Farmers Keep Informed – Follow @Ifamedia On Twitter

For all of the latest news and information on farming and rural issues follow the Irish Farmers’ Association’s Twitter account @IFAmedia.  IFA Regional Press & Web Comms Officer Morag Devins said “an IFA Twitter account has been established to provide farmers and countryside dwellers with instant news, policies and market prices.”

She said “farmers spend the vast majority of their time working outdoors and away from computers.  However, new media can give them access to immediate information on smart phones, by following IFA on Twitter.”

IFA Deputy President & Rural Affairs Chair Eddie Downey said “this is an important and invaluable service for farmers, as all can benefit from obtaining the most recent information on agricultural news, rural policies and commodity market prices on their mobile phones, while out working on the farm in an easy to use manner.”
