David Gillick and Sharon Flanagan coaches for Fyffes Fittest School competition

Fyffes have launched their Fyffes Fittest School competition for 2025 and are encouraging schools across Tipperary and the rest of the country to implement Fyffes series of exercise routines into their schools’ PE curriculum. The programme’s sessions will be led by Irish Olympian David Gillick and Irish fitness expert Sharon Flanagan who will work with the teachers to create a supportive and fun environment to teach children about the importance of keeping fit.

Participating schools will also be part of a nationwide competition where the top four schools from each province will go into battle for the title of fittest school and €8,000 worth of sports equipment for their school. To be in with a chance of winning the prize package schools must partake in the ten-week exercise programme which will narrow down the participants to the top four schools in each province who will then compete in four regional qualifying sessions in April for a chance to get into the grand final. The final will take place in May when the prize package will be up for grabs.

The Fyffes Fittest School, which is celebrating its fourth year in 2025 is free of charge and sign up is now open before the event begins on January 20th. Schools can sign up for the competition here
