Tipperary Musical Society To Perform ‘Rock of Ages’ At Tipperary Excel Centre This February

Tipperary Musical Society are showcasing their production of the classic musical Rock of Ages from the 17th to the 22nd of February. The musical will be held in the Tipperary Excel Centre and will begin at 8pm each night.  

Rock of Ages features classic 80’s rock songs from the likes of Bon Jovi, Poison, Twisted Sister and Journey. The story follows two young people, Sherrie and Drew, who come from two very different backgrounds. Sherrie has come to the city to try and catch her big break as an actor. Drew is working as a bus boy in a club called ‘The Bourbon Room’. Their stories become intertwined when Drew convinces his boss to hire Sherrie. The two begin to fall for each other when disaster strikes and ‘The Bourbon Room’ is set to be demolished. Together Sherrie and Drew must work to save the bar.  

Tickets for the show go on sale this Monday, the 27th of January. Patrons can avail of early booking on the 24th of January. This musical contains themes that may not be suitable for a younger audience and is rated PG13.
