Met Éireann Extends Red Warning To Tipperary

As Storm Èowyn approaches Met Éireann have extended their Red Warning to most of the country including Tipperary.  

The Red Warning warns people to ensure that they stay extremely cautious in such weather conditions and remain indoors. Storm Èowyn is set to bring extreme strong winds of up to 130 kilometers per hour. This is expected to cause many fallen trees, loss of power and communication lines, structural damage to buildings and extremely treacherous travelling conditions. Members of the public are warned that these weather conditions pose an extreme danger to life and as such all warnings should be adhered to to the nth degree.  

Red Warnings are set to come into effect on Friday the 24th followed by an Orange Warning and these will be effective during the following days/ hours:

Friday 24/01/25 – Red Warning   06:00 – 12:00 
Friday 24/01/25 – Orange Warning   02:00 – 17:00
