Hands holding soil

The Cabragh Wetlands are encouraging people to join their introductory workshop on the practice of Korean natural farming. This workshop will be held on Saturday the 1st of February from 12pm to 3pm.

Korean Natural Farming is the practice of using regenerative techniques to restore soil and allow it to recover from any intensive practices it has been subjected to. Natural farming also eliminates harmful materials being put on the soil to maintain the soil’s sustainability. This type of farming uses the natural organisms present in the soil to improve the balance and health of the soil for the growth of crops. In this way the people and animals that are sustained by crops benefit from the improved soil, increased yields and greater crop resilience that comes with this method.

This workshop is priced at €30 per person and the cost is divided into two parts. The first part of the cost will be €10, which must be paid online to book your place on the course. The second half of the payment is €20 which will be taken on the day. This will be used to cover the travel and work costs for the farmers who will teach attendees about the practice of Korean Natural Farming.
