The GOAL Mile will be run in 170 locations across the country this Christmas and people are being encouraged to sign up and run in support of the charities’ fundraising efforts. Walking or running the mile will contribute to efforts to fund aid for poor communities in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East this festive season.

GOAL is an Irish based international humanitarian agency which has contributed to the provision of aid in 13 countries across the world. Their 3,500 volunteers work to establish aid programmes to support health, nutrition, food and the livelihoods of the poorest people in the communities where they work.

This cherished Irish tradition is not only deeply meaningful for communities here at home but also has a profound ripple effect across borders, reaching those who need it most. The funds raised through the GOAL Mile directly support GOAL’s vital work in some of the world’s most challenging regions, providing life-saving aid and hope to vulnerable communities. To our incredible GOAL Mile Organisers, thank you for making this possible. And to anyone thinking of joining their local GOAL Mile, we encourage you to take part. And if you can’t take part, please consider donating to your local event.”
