Upcycled Wood ‘Christmas Village’ Decoration Workshop At Jim Of The Mills
This Saturday November 30th, Jim of The Mills pub in Upperchurch is hosting a festive afternoon craft workshop from 2-4:30pm. The workshop will teach you how to make your own Christmas village entirely from recycled wood. The materials needed will be supplied on the day and you will not be required to bring any extra materials.
Making your own Christmas decorations not only helps you to develop new skills but also means that you decrease the waste and costs of the festive season. Many decorations such as the one you will learn to make at this workshop are expensive to buy and by using recycled materials to make them yourself you can save money to spend on more practical items at other times of the year.
As well as this, many decorations which are made from single use materials only last for a few Christmases before they need to be replaced. Crafting your own decorations using recycled materials eliminates the need for excessive buying and replacing of decorations as homemade decorations can be upcycled again and again. Homemade festive décor also reduces the environmental impact of the Christmas season by removing some of the waste which would otherwise end up in landfills.
Christmas classics will be played on the day, hot drinks and treats will also be supplied. Tickets for this event are priced at €43.87 including extra charges and are available from the Eventbrite website . This event promises to be filled with festive fun for all.
