Turning On The Christmas Lights In Thurles Town

Christmas Lights

Thurles Town is gearing up for its annual Christmas lights event. This event will take place in the town centre on December 6th beginning at 6pm. Santa Claus himself will be turning on the town’s Christmas lights this year. Everyone is invited to wear their elf costumes and join in the festive fun.

There will be lots of entertainment throughout the evening with a stage being set up outside Deja Brew coffee shop where music and other performances will be held from 5:30pm to 7pm. Attendees to this event and visitors to Thurles over the rest of the festive season are being encouraged to show their support to the local businesses in the community by shopping locally for gifts and other supplies where possible.

As part of the Christmas fun for kids, a magical Santa’s Grotto will be opening on December 7th from 2pm until 4pm. The grotto will also be open every Saturday on the lead up to the big day. A visit to Santa’s Grotto will be priced at €3 per child and must be booked by emailing hello@thurlestouristoffice.ie or calling 0504 27534
