On Tuesday the 3rd of December, Nenagh Arts Centre (E45 NX26) will host the launch of Tipperary author and storyboard artist Seán Hogan’s graphic novel ‘Brotherhood – Part 1’. The ninety-two page book features the story of four teenagers Macdara, Colm, Ciara and Seamus as they try to keep themselves out of danger amid the Irish War of Independence when one of the groups becomes involved in the violence through his accidental implication in the death of a ‘Black and Tan’ soldier.

This historical black and white graphic novel offers a whole new view on the violence which took place during one of the country’s darkest periods and is intended to be read by an adult audience as themes featured will not be suitable for young readers.

This event will begin at 6pm and finish at 7:30pm and will be free for all to attend with no booking required.
