Funding Announced For Community Groups Across Tipperary
The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys and the Minster of State with responsibility for Community Development and Charities Joe O’Brien have announced funding of seven million to be distributed under the ‘Department of Rural and Community Development Local Enhancement Programme 2025’.
As part of this funding €206,558 has been allocated for distribution amongst community groups and organisations across Tipperary. The funding will be given to organisations to provide small-scale financial assistance for the purchase of equipment, to implement improvements in their organisations and to carry out small works. Funding may be used to improve disability access, to improve facilities for disadvantaged members of the community or to reduce the costs of building works in facilities.
The funding will be administered by the Tipperary Local Community Development Committee following an application process which is expected to open in January 2025. Details of this application process will be announced in due course.
