Christmas Jumper Swap At Tipperary Town Library
Tipperary Town Library is ringing in the festive season by giving people a chance to part with their old Christmas jumpers and acquire a different one in a sustainable and cost friendly way.
In an effort to combat fast fashion practices and start a zero-waste campaign for this part of the Christmas season, where jumpers are often only worn once and then replaced or forgotten about. When these festive jumpers are replaced, they often end up being dumped into landfill where the synthetic fibres take years to biodegrade which has a detrimental impact on the environment. The Christmas Jumper Swap will offer a way for people to get a new Christmas jumper while keeping sustainability in mind.
Pre-loved festive jumpers can be dropped off at Tipperary Town Library E34 KP60 from the 21st of November. The swap event will take place on the 26th of November at 6:30pm.
