Tipperary Artist Edwina Knight’s Colourful & Intricate Artworks on Display at Nenagh Library

Edwina Knight Exhibition

Edwina Knight’s Exhibition runs in Nenagh Library until October 31st

Tipperary Artist, Edwina Knight has launched an exhibition of her work in Nenagh Library (E45 AK50). The exhibition was officially opened on the 8th of October and showcases Edwina’s work in ink on YUPO paper and tile.

YUPO paper is a synthetic plastic like material which is 100% waterproof and therefore very environmentally friendly. The paper substitute is created by heating and shaping polypropylene fibres which are put together in three layers giving the paper alternative a durability level that could never be achieved with regular wood-based paper. The nonporous quality of YUPO paper also makes it the perfect material for alcohol ink artworks.

Edwina Knight is a graduate of Limerick School of Art and Design with a degree in Fine Art Sculpture and Teaching. This led her to pursue a career in art teaching. Her colourful semi abstract artworks are inspired by the natural world around her and the local environment. She uses her unique style, subject matter and use of brightly coloured inks, acrylics and oil paints to draw the viewer into the world she depicts in her artworks.

Edwina Knight’s artworks will be on display at Nenagh Library until Thursday the 31st of October.
