Halloween Movie Day – Carrick on Suir Library

As part of their programme of Halloween events for children, Carrick on Suir Library is hosting a movie day. The event is set to take place on Tuesday October 29th at 3pm. The movie which has been chosen for the day is ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ directed by Tim Burton.

The stop motion animation tells the tale of ‘The King of Halloweentown’ Jack Skellington who stumbles upon ‘Christmas Town’ and decides he is done with his usual task of preparing for Halloween plots to take over the Christmas holiday. To carry out this dishonourable plan he kidnaps Santa Claus and plans the delivery of ghoulish gifts to the children of the real world. The plan, however, does not go correctly, leading to a series of unfortunate events.

‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ is rated PG as it contains some scenes and characters which may frighten young children.

All children are welcome to attend this movie, but they must be accompanied by an adult. To book your space please call 051-640591 or email carricklibrary@tipperarycoco.ie
