McDonalds Submit Planning Application for Thurles Restaurant
Popular fast food chain McDonald’s have applied to Tipperary County Council to expand their restaurants to land at Slievenamon Road and Thurles Relief Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. The restaurant chain has proposed the development of a single storey restaurant with a drive-through for the sale of hot food to be consumed off the premises. Building works requested within the application include, the development of a car park including accessible spaces, EV charging bays, bicycle parking area, customer order points with canopies, outdoor seating with umbrellas, necessary engineering works and lighting installation, free standing signage, digital menus and more.
The development of a McDonalds restaurant on the requested site would also require modification of the existing access point of the Thurles Relief Road.
The famous restaurant chain currently has restaurants in Cashel, Clonmel and Roscrea. A decision on whether the planning application for a restaurant in Thurles will be accepted is due to be made by the 21st of November 2024.
