Fang-tastic Children’s Halloween Diamond Art Workshop In Thurles Library
In celebration of the spooky season, Thurles Library is inviting children ages 7 and up to take part in a Halloween themed 5D Diamond Art workshop at 2pm on Wednesday October 30th.
Diamond Art involves the use of many small diamontes to create reflective works of art which resemble paintings or mosaics. The images are created by sticking each individual resin diamond to a canvas which has an adhesive layer on top. This art method is great for relaxation and has many other benefits for young children. Creating diamond artworks helps to increase children’s concentration levels as they focus on attaching the diamonds to the canvas in the correct way, the stylus used to attach the diamonds to the canvas also helps to increase motor skills, creating art that they can be proud of helps to increase children’s confidence in their own abilities and the nature of diamond painting which is a slow process teaches children to be patient and not to rush when completing tasks.
At the end of this workshop the children will have learned how to create their very own ghostly art pieces for Halloween
This hour-long workshop is being facilitated by Elisa Shaw and must be booked in advance as spaces are limited. To book this workshop email thurleslibrary@tipperarycoco.ie or call 052 6166 131
