Unheard Voices Exhibition in Nenagh Arts Centre This November

Women Unite Feminist Poster 1970's

‘Women Unite’ Feminist Poster from the 1970’s

Women from the Nenagh area have collaborated with Nenagh Arts Centre to create an exhibition titled ‘Unheard Voices’. The exhibition is inspired by the protests that took place during the beginning of the feminist movement and symbolise female empowerment and solidarity between women. Through these artworks local women are telling their stories, showcasing their experiences and making their passions into colourful pieces of art. These works range from bold linocuts to highly detailed screen prints.

Unheard Voices shows the power of community where these women come together in solidarity with each other and use artistic techniques to express common visions and observations about life as a woman.

This collaboration between Mná na nEalaín and Nenagh Arts Centre will be open to the public between November 14th and December 20th, 2024. It will be free to attend. For more information visit this link
