Storytime for Ages 3 and Under at Thurles Library
Parent Reading to Young Child
Each Wednesday at 11am Thurles Library holds a Storytime session for toddlers. These 30-minute sessions are suitable for ages 3 and under with fun filled stories read to the children every week.
This event is not only fun for the children to meet others of a similar age but being read stories regularly is also beneficial for a young child’s learning and development. Storytelling can increase a child’s vocabulary, recognition of sounds and words and help them to strengthen their early literacy skills, promote social and emotional skills, boost concentration levels and enhance language skills.
