Young Writers Hothouse Returns to The Source Arts Centre This Autumn
The Young Writers Hothouse is a programme designed to inspire young people aged 15-18 and help them to develop their writing skills with a view to becoming professional writers.
The Source Arts Centre is running this programme from 11:00am to 12:30pm every Saturday through the months of Autumn 2024. Young people who have a serious interest in writing, whether fiction, nonfiction or poetry, would be the perfect candidate for this course. The course is divided into 8 sessions which consist of small classes led by an experienced mentor. Participants in the course will meet with the group each week, write and share ideas and experiences with each other to expand their own writing. The young writers must complete writing tasks at home each week for the class. Working in innovative ways, the writers will be provided with skills that they can adapt and develop into the future.
Those who may be interested in completing this course should know that spaces are limited with only 5-10 writers being accepted. For further information on details of this course and to get involved email Artistic Director, Brendan Maher at director@sourcearts.ie
