Take Part in Sustainable Development Goals Week 2024
The Government of Ireland are encouraging people to take part in Ireland’s third Sustainable Development Goals Week which will run from September 20th to 29th 2024.
Sustainable Development is an approach to social, economic and environmental growth that aims to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Sustainable Development aims to meet the criteria set out by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals which can be found here .
Sustainable Development Goals Week is open to all and invites individuals, schools, colleges, businesses and other establishments to organise an event to highlight sustainable development in their areas. To participate in Sustainable Development Goals Week brainstorm ideas about how you or your community could foster sustainable development, plan an event no matter how small relating to the promotion of sustainable development, upload your ideas to www.esdn.eu/esdw and finally act by organising and advertising your initiative to the wider community during Sustainable Development Goals Week 2024.
