Cashel Arts Festival Prepares to Celebrate 22nd Anniversary

The Cashel Arts Festival will celebrate its 22nd anniversary from the 12th to the 15th of September 2024. The four-day festival will celebrate Irish music art, dance, literature and theatre. Featuring local, national and international talent, this event provides a platform for professionals in the arts to perform and spread their love of the arts to the public.  

Headline acts will include Garron Noone, Gary Younge, Lisa Hannigan and the Castle String Orchestra.  

Comedian, Musician and TikTok extraordinaire Garron Noone will perform in Brú Ború on Friday the 13th of September from 9:30pm until 11pm. Tickets for this event are priced at €20 and are available here 

Award winning author, broadcaster and lecturer sociology at the University of Manchester, Gary Younge will present a lecture on the 14th of September in St John’s Cathedral from 7-8pm giving details about his illustrious career from his early years as a young journalist working for the Washington Post to becoming a lead editorial board member at the Guardian newspaper and much more. Tickets are available here and are priced at €15.  

Irish songwriter and folk singer Lisa Hannigan will also perform on the 14th of September in the Brú Ború Theatre from 9-11pm. She will perform various songs from her 17-year career and will be supported on the night by the five-piece indie folk band Between/Roads. Tickets for Lisa Hannigan’s performance are priced at €30 available here 

Having performed with many renowned Irish and international talents such as Josh Groban, Kanye West and Glen Hansard, the Castle String Orchestra will headline the final night of the Cashel Arts Festival 2024 on the 15th of September. The string quartet will perform music from the hit Netflix series Bridgerton in the magnificent setting of St. John’s Cathedral. The show will begin at 8pm and finish at 9:15pm. Tickets for this concert cost €20 and can be purchased here 

Showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Cashel and the many talented artists from Ireland and the wider creative community, the Cashel Arts Festival has something for everyone and is not one to be missed.
