Minister O’Donnell announces funding approval for Minor Flood Mitigation Works at Greenane, Templederry, Co. Tipperary
Kieran O’ Donnell, Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works, has announced the acceptance of Tipperary County Council’s application for funding under the Office of Public Works’ Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme. Under the scheme, Tipperary County Council will receive €31,613 worth of funding for the proposed project.
The funding will be used for proposed works at Greenane, Templederry, Co. Tipperary which will include the removal of a boundary wall, excavation of silt deposits under the bridge to increase the headroom, importation and compaction of 6 – 12″ rock to restored riverbed, placing of rock armour and creation of earth retaining bund and placement of suitable fill material behind the rock armour.
