The Adoption Authority of Ireland Launches Public Consultation on Inputs for 2025-2027 Strategic Plan
The Adoption Authority of Ireland have announced the start of their public consultation process to inform the development of their new strategic plan to cover the period 2025 – 2027.
The aim of the consultation is to use the feedback provided by the public to improve their programmes and services to better meet the needs of those they serve. Feedback received will also be used to highlight the issues and priorities they need to focus on over the next year. Public feedback can be given through an online survey. The survey will consist of questions covering areas such as engagement with the AAI, areas of strength and areas for improvement, our performance, communication and collaboration and future focus as well as any other comments the public wish to provide.
Speaking about her goal to reach out to AAI service users and to improve the services AAI provide to those whose lives have been affected by adoption, Dr Lorraine Horgan, CEO of Adoption Authority Ireland said,
“This public consultation process will provide essential information for our new Strategic Plan. Insights obtained through this consultation will inform how the AAI can continue to advance our mission of ensuring the provision of the highest possible standards of adoption-related services. The AAI continues to develop how it discharges its statutory functions and delivers its services. Feedback from anyone affected by adoption is vital to our development.”
Orlaith Traynor, Chairperson of the AAI Board added,
“We look forward to conducting this public consultation ensuring that the AAI continues to be recognised as the centre of excellence and principal authoritative source of information on all aspects of adoption, and as a provider and regulator of high-quality adoption services.”
The AAI wants to hear from anyone who has been personally affected by adoption and its service users through feedback on the online survey. The survey will remain open until Monday, July 15th and is accessible on Adoption – Home (aai.gov.ie)
