IFA Timber Price Survey Shows Stability

According to a survey of the prices of timber products completed from April – June the prices of timber products have shown no significant changes from the first quarter of the year.

Speaking about the stability in prices IFA Farm Forestry Chair Jason Fleming said:

“Timber prices have been stable in the first half of 2024 with prices signaling a steady market demand.” “There is some variation in prices around the country and it is important for farmers to look around to optimise their return,” he said.

According to Mr. Fleming Irish timber prices are reflective of those in the broader market across the EU and the rest of the global market. Similarly to Irish timber product prices, significant change was not seen in broader markets.
