As part of the Climate Conversation 2024 the Environment Chair of the IFA is encouraging farmers to have their say. Environment Chair John Murphy said: It is very important that farmers and rural communities take the time to complete the online questionnaire and provide feedback to the Climate Conversation which will feed into, and shape, the next Climate Action Plan,”

The Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications has recently launched its climate conversations 2024 online questionnaire. The department is inviting people across the country to voice their opinions. This questionnaire will be open until the 22nd of September 2024 and is accessible through the following link: National Dialogue on Climate Action (ipsosinteractive.com)

Mr. Murphy has emphasised the importance of farmers having their say in climate discussions as they are the key stakeholders and should be active participants in this discourse. “It is only right that farmers voices are heard as part of the national climate conversation. The next Climate Action Plan will mark a crucial mid-way point in Ireland’s plan to halve our emissions by 2030,”
