The game will be refereed by up and coming referee Conor Doyle from the Silvermines club and is set to have a 2pm throw in. Given its proximity to the commencement of the Allianz hurling league, is expected to attract a large attendance.

Team managers Liam Cahill and John Kiely are expected to name strong sides for the game which will mean that there will be a host of household names taking to the field on the day.

The Dillon Quirke Foundation is a registered charity working to raise awareness of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) and fund widespread cardiac screening for young people (aged 12-18) involved in sport. On average, Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) takes 100 young lives in Ireland every year. Cardiac screening can help prevent SADS by identifying heart conditions at an early stage before they cause symptoms. With your help, the Foundation’s aim is to raise awareness and reduce the number of young people dying from SADS through a cardiac screening programme. The foundations hope for Dillon’s legacy is that every young sports athlete, male and female in Ireland, will have mandatory screening for their heart.

Tickets for the game are now available to purchase from the ticket section of the Tipperary GAA website at a cost of €20 https://embed.futureticketing.ie/c/tipperary-gaa/ while tap and go card payments will also be accepted at the venue on the day. All under 16’s will have free admission to the game.

The game will also be broadcast live by Tipperary GAA’s official streaming partner Clubber with all monies raised being donated to the foundation. Supporters can watch the game by going to https://www.clubber.ie/
