€3,000 Prize Fund for Energy Efficient Home Extension Designs

Sustainable Tipp is a partnership of Tipperary County Council, Tipperary Energy Agency and more to deliver Tipperary’s Sustainable Energy Action Plan to achieve a low carbon economy for citizens and communities.

It is now accepting nationwide entries for the best design of a home extension to NZEB (Near Zero Energy Building) standard. A €3000 prize fund is up for grabs for the winners.

€3,000 Prize Fund for Energy Efficient Home Extension DesignsSpeaking on behalf of Sustainable Tipp, Clare Lee from Tipperary County Council Planning Department said, “The purpose of this competition is to promote low-carbon, sustainable building design and construction. We want to reward best practice, particularly in domestic dwellings”.

The competition is open to designers and homeowners nationally that have designed an extension to NZEB standard. Judging will be on the plans and details submitted to sustainabletipp.ie. The closing date for entries is July 31, 2020. The judging parameters and terms & conditions are all available on sustainabletipp.ie. Winners will be announced in Autumn 2020.
