Aisling Ryan takes top job at Ryans Cleaning
Ryans Cleaning has announced the internal promotion of Aisling Ryan to General Manager, Ireland, UK and Europe at the top international cleaning firm. Aisling takes over at the helm from Pat Ryan who will continue to serve as CEO while Aisling runs the business, manages their core team of over ninety employees and all client accounts on a day-to-day basis.
Although Aisling has only turned thirty recently, she is certainly ready, willing and able for the challenging role. She has worked as part of the family-run firm since she was old enough to handle a brush! Since 2006, Aisling has worked in various roles within the company, building her experience in all departments. Over the last three years, Aisling has focused on shadowing the company CEO, her father, Pat Ryan while continuing her studies at University of Limerick. For the last four years, Aisling independently managed the entire Electric Picnic account for the company working with promoters Festival Republic from the event management planning stage right through to the execution of the cleaning services at the festival, managing the teams and resources on-site and everything in between.
Speaking of Aisling’s capabilities Pat Ryan said “Aisling is more than ready for this position, her appointment is part of our overall strategic plan for Ryans Cleaning and on a personal note I am delighted to see the next generation leading our home-grown, family-run company to the next level. I look forward to seeing Aisling driving on now and delivering on many of our key objectives; maintaining our position as the market leader in Ireland, continuing the acceleration of our market share growth in the UK and overseeing even further expansion into mainland Europe.”
Sustainability is a key priority for the enthusiastic General Manager from Thurles, Aisling said “At Ryans Cleaning we work with our clients to find better long-term solutions for dealing with waste for their business. I believe if companies put simple infrastructure and sustainable practices in place with our expertise it would make a remarkable difference to the environment and they would save a lot of money in the long run. This is an issue very close to my heart and I will be proposing a customised model similar to the one we put in place at Dublin Zoo last year to many of our event clients over the coming months. The model we have in place for servicing Premier League team Watford FC at Vicarage Road in the UK will also be a strong case study for all prospective stadia clients across the UK in 2020. I believe the greatest potential for company growth involves further expansion into mainland Europe from our existing client bases in The Netherlands and France, this is also a top priority for the team here and I am very much looking forward to leading Ryans Cleaning into our next chapter.”
