Muriel O’Connor and Fran Curry are launching their new album at their
show at Nenagh Arts Centre and are inviting you to join them.

The latest release from award winning duo is a mix of beautiful songs,
duets, instrumentals and fun stuff that will have you smiling and

airplay hit.

Silver Arch Family Resource Centre (formally NTCS) presents Professor
Billy O’Connor with a follow up to his previous riveting talk. He
returns with a specific focus on how the teenage (12-17 years) brain
interacts with gaming.

It might surprise you to know that there are pros as well as cons in the
gaming world. Professor O’Connor puts gaming into perspective in the
fields of education which is becoming increasingly gamified, and the
recreational use of gaming.

He helps parents to support their teenagers to successfully navigate
between the two. No need to have attended the first talk in order to
gain some fascinating insights into the minds of our ‘digital natives’.

Nenagh Camera Club Exhibition – Launch Friday 15th March 6pm – 7pm,
Running until Tuesday 30th April

“Nenagh Camera Club” formerly known as Esker Camera Club is an energetic
local club catering to amateur photographers and camera enthusiasts in
and around Nenagh for many years.

The club has being going from strength to strength in recent years and
has a growing membership spanning all ages and abilities. The ethos of
the Nenagh Camera Club has always been to encourage photography
enthusiasts of all ages and abilities to learn new skills and enjoy
their hobby.

Exhibition opening at 6pm-7pm on Friday 15th March, all are welcome. The
exhibition will be continuing until Tuesday 30th April at Nenagh Arts
Centre, viewing anytime, during regular opening times at the Arts
Centre.

Silver Arch Family Resource Centre (formally NTCS) presents Professor
Billy O’Connor who returns to help us understand how the young person’s
(4-11 years) brain responds to gaming and digital device usage.

As gaming technology becomes increasingly evident in the lives of young
children, Professor O’Connor explores the pros and cons of this new
digital culture. He empowers parents to create a balance between
educational and recreational usage.

No need to have attended the first talk in order to gain some
fascinating insights into the minds of our young ‘digital natives’.

Join us to hear our stories of an expedition from Ireland to Iceland on
the research vessel, Celtic Mist in search of Humpback Whales.

In May 2018, the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group left Dublin embarking on
an expedition to Iceland on its research vessel Celtic Mist.

A retired school teacher, a doctor, a parks ranger along with a farmer
from Kildare were onboard and skippered by a project manager from
Arklow.

Playfully questioning what is “normal” behaviour for girls and for boys,
Princesses can be Pirates follows the hilarious escapades of two
extraordinary performers in their quest to defy stereotypes and break

Cloughjordan Circus Club presents ‘If I Ran the Circus’
This year the annual performance is inspired by the Dr Seuss book If I
Ran the Circus.
Young people have been creating some fantastic circus acts including
juggling, tightwire, unicycle and acrobatics. And if that’s not enough
we’ve also been composing their own “seussian” introductions for the
show!
So come along and enjoy …..The Worlds Greatest Show on the face of the
earth, or wherever you go!

Welcome to a tale of squabbles, scuffles…and buttons!

George grows grapes. Bessie grows cabbages. One loves the sun. One loves
the rain. A petty squabble grows and grows and grows into… the war of
the buttons!

This is a world where you are invited to eat birthday cake, take sides
and where a button can be a kiss, a wish, a present, or a trophy of war!

Told through an energetic mix of music, puppetry, clowning, movement and
sign language, French company Compagnie Animotion’s distinctive
non-verbal vocabulary creates a show accessible to Deaf, hearing and
international audiences.

Having premiered at VISUAL in Carlow in September 2018, The Mental
toured theatres in the south east to a universally positive response,
John MacKenna’s new play will tour again in April and May of 2019,
coming to Nenagh Arts Centre on Saturday April 27th.

Described as: “A superb night’s entertainment… a wonderful piece of
writing and a great performance. Beautiful and without any
sentimentality but true human emotion” and as “Beautiful, gentle,
hilarious yet heart-breaking,” The Mental is a play bot to be missed.

Kristy Cox – Thursday 16th May, 8pm, Tickets: €22.00 / €18.00

Chart-toppin’ Nashville-based Kristy Cox is on quite the roll. Capturing
attention with her powerful singing style, youthful energy-infused
bluegrass, and song writing acumen, she continues to enjoy radio &
television success in both the US and in her native Australia where
she’s a multi award-winning Australian Country Music Awards Golden
Guitar recipient – most recently she picked up the 2019 Golden Guitar
for Bluegrass Album of the Year for early 2018’s Ricochet. Kristy has
appeared at major festivals across Australia, Europe and the US,
including an official showcase at the International Bluegrass Music
Association (IBMA) Convention in 2015; she was shortlisted by the IBMA 4
years running for New Artist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the
Year.

Triple award-winning Irish comedian & scientist, Donal Vaughan, brings
his hugely popular science, comedy, magic family show back to the Nenagh
Arts Centre.

Using only things you find around the house, he will perform amazing
tricks to show how magical science can be. Wanna see a potato rocket
launcher? Or conjure dragons breath? How about a vomiting unicorn? Or
course you do.

Always exciting and sometimes very messy, learn about science and laugh
your pants off while you do. And the best part is all the tricks can be
performed by you when you go home.
