Ballyporeen and Clogheen communities urged to attend Building Facade Workshops – Martin Lonergan
Independent County Councillor for the Clonmel/Cahir Borough District, Martin Lonergan is urging residents and property owners in Ballyporeen and Clogheen to attend public meetings which will be held in relation to the Councils Building Facade Design Schemes for both Communities.
Commenting on the meetings Councillor Lonergan said, “Tipperary County Council is developing Building Facade Design Schemes for both Ballyporeen and Clogheen and this work is been undertaken on behalf of the Council by Kenneth Hennessy, Architects.
This will be an opportunity for property owners, community groups and other stakeholders input into draft scheme proposals for the improvement of both Ballyporeen and Clogheen. The proposed workshops are an opportunity for residents and property owners to examine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and constraints of each village, discuss measures to improve the visual appearance of properties and vacant sites, propose suggestions for possible uses of vacant sites and properties and discuss their visions and ideas to improve both villages in general.
Staff from Kenneth Hennessy Architects will be facilitating the workshops and engaging with residents and property owners and I would encourage their participation.”
The workshops will take place on Saturday 6th October, 2018 from 10am to 1pm in Ballyporeen Community Centre and from 2pm to 5pm in Clogheen Community Centre.
Concluding Councillor Lonergan said, “This is an important community forum and I would encourage as many stakeholders as possible, in both communities, to participate and have their input in the draft plans moving forward.”
