Inform Psychological Services Launches “The Inside Track On Mental Health” Event To Mark Fifth Anniversary Celebrations
Clonmel-based practice Inform Psychological Services will hold a free event, titled “The Inside Track on Mental Health”, in The Main Guard, Clonmel, Co Tipperary, on Friday, September 28th, 2018 from 4pm – 6pm. The event will mark the business’ fifth anniversary.
Event attendees will hear from guest speakers Dr. Maeve Martin, Founder and Clinical Director, Ms. Lindsay Fredman, Clinical Psychologist, Ms. Hilda Ryan, Personal and Professional Life Coach, Ms. Josephine Quinlan, Counselling Psychotherapist, and Dr. Ann Moriarty, Neuropsychologist, all from Inform Psychological Services. They will cover a range of topics, including psychological interventions for young people and adolescents, coaching, mindfulness and self-compassion, ageing, dementia and memory.

Speaking at the launch event, Dr. Maeve Martin said, “Throughout my career and especially during the past five years in my own practice, I have noticed a rise in the number of you people suffering from anxiety and depression; over 45% of the referrals to our service are between the ages of 13 and 24 years. Similarly, there is a sharp increase in parents bringing children as young as three for a variety of emotional and behavioural problems. Finally, apart from the assessment work we do, more and more adults present at our clinics who are struggling to cope with modern day work/home challenges causing chronic stress, sleep disturbances and addiction problems.”

Inform Psychological Services is based in Clonmel, Co Tipperary, and offers a variety of psychological assessments and therapeutic services for children, adolescents and adults. Clinical psychology reports, psychoeducational reports and medico-legal reports are provided for clients of all ages. The practice has a team of one psychotherapist, three clinical psychologists, a personal and professional life coach, and two office managers.

Dr. Maeve Martin, Founder and Clinical Director at Inform Psychological Services
Dr. Maeve Martin has over 30 years’ experience working in the areas of child and adult mental health services. Dr Martin has worked as Principal Clinical Psychologist in the Irish Health Service, Project Manager for the implementation of a major change programme in the Irish Mental Health Service and as Assistant Inspector (Clinical Psychology) for the Mental Health Commission. She was Chairperson of the National Child Health Information Service Project (CHISP) and member of the national working party “Best Health for Children”.
Dr. Martin is the author of the largest research study in Ireland into the mental health needs of children and adolescents, “The Clonmel Project” and joint author of the publication “Child Mental and Emotional Health”.
Dr. Martin holds a BA and MA in Clinical Psychology from University College Dublin, an MSc in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from Trinity College Dublin, an MBA from UCD/Smurfit Business School and a PhD from University College Dublin. She is also a qualified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Psychotherapist.
