Invitation to Hold Events for County Tipperary Culture Night On Friday 21st September 2018
Culture Night is an annual all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts. It will take place on Friday 21st September 2018 from 4pm till late.
Culture Night has grown from a relatively small scale cultural event staged only in Dublin in 2006 to the significant national cultural event it now is, with some 400,000 people visiting museums, galleries, historic houses, artists’ studios and cultural centres across the island. The initiative has captured both the public imagination and the enthusiasm of artists and cultural organisations.
Tipperary County Council is now issuing a call for proposals in two categories for Culture Night 2018.
Tipperary Culture Night Events – Groups, organisations, schools and/or artists are invited to submit an event to be included in the Culture Night Programme. Funding for events is available. All events must be free of charge to the public.
Tipperary Culture Night Commission/Event Curation 2018 – Artists, Curators, and/or Creatives based in Tipperary are invited to submit proposals to this open call for ideas. It is anticipated that 1-2 Culture Night Commissions will be supported in 2018 (subject to available funding). Please refer to guidelines for further information. All events must be free of charge to the public.
Note: Only Events which are free, open to the public and take place from 4pm till late are eligible to apply.
