Ryan O’Meara is a 22 year old Economics and Politics student in UCD. From Toomevara, he is a past pupil of Nenagh CBS Secondary School, and is currently serving as Chairman of the Fianna Fáil Society in UCD. He is an active member of Fianna Fáil in Tipperary, as well as the Dublin Rathdown constituency. He has been involved in UCD Students’ Union for the last three years, and is currently a member of the US Embassy Youth Council.

The Award is presented in memory of the late Mr Michael Ryan Boland of Drombane, a former Chairman of North Tipperary Fianna Fail and a great supporter of the younger members of Fianna Fáil. He made such an impression on the members of Ogra Fianna Fáil that Tim Maher decided to sponsor an annual Award to honour his memory.
