Latest Appointment Opens New Front For Birdhill Firm In Waste Recovery Sector
The appointment of Birdhill-based McHale Plant Sales to distribute Terex Ecotec equipment has brought the Tipperary firm into yet another market segment in which it was not previously represented.
Only months after being appointed to represent Komatsu Forest timber harvesting machinery – a market new to them, this latest appointment brings McHale into the expanding environmental management and waste recovery sectors.

In fixed and mobile units, Terex equipment facilitates the reuse of waste matter by converting demolition and machined timber waste, woodland off-cuts, tree pruned waste and other recoverable matter into material for which a valuable alternative use exists, whether as biomass fuel, garden compost, animal bedding or as landfill, concrete mix or construction infill. This extends to certain types domestic and industrial waste which can also be shredded to either reduce need for landfill or provide a fuel for the incineration to energy process.
Said by company director, Michael McHale to be ‘an even more complete and complementary product offering to those we already handle’, it stands alongside other product lines represented by McHale, including excavators and construction plant, stone crushers, telehandlers and farm tractors.
