Borrisoleigh Students Exhibit Projects In SciFest At School 2017
On Wednesday, 15th of February, over 80 students from St. Joseph’s College, Borrisoleigh exhibited projects in SciFest@School.
Students demonstrated their knowledge of science, technology, engineering and maths through their creative and innovative projects.
We had 4 top awards that were sponsored by the Parent’s Council, the school and by SciFest. Joseph O’Donoghue was awarded overall best project award. Windowcator by Jack O’Brien, Joseph Bourke and David Madden were the runners up in the junior section. In the senior section, When in doubt, swing it out by Christine Delaney, Seamus Ryan and Kate Madden took first place. Sweet Tablets by Nick Cooney, Aaron Rabbitte and John Ryan were runners up.
The top 10 projects will now represent the school at SciFest in LIT Thurles in May.
