Spleodar Halloween Arts Festival 2016 Nenagh 29th to 31st October
Nenagh will come alive during the Spleodar Hallowe’en Festival, which runs over the bank holiday weekend (Saturday 29th to Monday 31st October). Nenagh Arts Centre will play host to a feast of fantastical, fun filled events for all the family!
Explore the endless possibilities of robotics and engineering in Lego Robotics and Sphero challenges or test your competitive side at the MineVention tournament; try your hand at face painting, or create special effects on your body – the perfect look for your Hallowe’en celebrations. Take part in a monster doodle or create your own comic book with award-winning illustrator and cartoonist Fintan Taite; make an appointment with the Book Doctor to get a prescription for your next read or develop your own writing and storytelling skills at Scríobh.
The festival includes workshops, performances, a fashion exhibition as well as a selection of shows for all ages: the Hairy and the Fairy take you on a theatrical, musical journey; the three little pigs will pit their wits against the big bad wolf. Topping the bill at this year’s festival is ‘INFERNO’ on Saturday evening; three hapless pirates take you on a fiery and spectacular adventure in this free outdoor show so get all the family out!
With minecraft tournaments, treasure hunts, pirates, pigs and printmaking, fire shows and fashion and hip-hop and horror, the 3 day festival concludes with a fireworks display filled with sound and colour. There’s something for everyone at this year’s festival. Events book fast, so don’t miss out!
