Eamon Delaney encourages adults to return to education in Tipperary
Eamon Delaney (38) from Tullaroan in Kilkenny is taking part in a major new campaign that encourages adults to ‘Take the first step’ to improve their reading, writing, maths and computers skills. Eamon who is married with two kids, a boy (7) and a girl (5) decided to go back to education because he knew that in order to help his kids he would have to help himself first. For that last two years he has been attending Clonmel Adult Education Service which is run by Tipperary Education and Training Board.
The Take the first step campaign which features Eamon sharing his positive experience of returning to education includes national radio advertising, video and digital advertising on social media, posters and outdoor advertising. It was launched yesterday in Dublin to mark International Literacy Day.
