Tipperary 28/1 From 125/1 After Sending Galway Packing
Tipperary have secured their spot in the All-Ireland SFC semi-finals for the first time since 1935 after an incredible 3-13 to 1-10 win over Galway. The Premier County have seen their odds to lift the Sam Maguire slashed from 125/1 to 28/1 following their victory.
Kerry were also victorious with a straightforward 2-16 to 0-11 triumph over Clare and have seen their price nipped into 4/1 from 9/2. Dublin have been eased to Even money favourites from 10/11 following the weekend’s SFC results.
On Saturday both Mayo and Donegal set up quarter-final clashes with Tyrone and Dublin which are scheduled to take place on the 6th of August at Croke Park.
Donegal go into their match with reigning champions Dublin as 9/2 underdogs with Jim Gavin’s side expected to dominate the Tír Conaill Men at 1/5.
Mayo are also expected to struggle when they take on Tyrone at odds of 11/8 to win. Tyrone, who are 4/1 alongside Kerry in the outright betting, have the betting firmly on their side at 4/5.
Aoife Heffron, PR Executive for BoyleSports commented “Tipperary have made history after seeing off Galway 3-13 to 1-10 at Croke Park to progress to the semi-finals for the first time in over 80 years. Traders were quick to slash their odds of getting their hands on Sam to 28/1 from a massive 125/1, however they do remain the outsiders.”
She added “Dublin have felt a slight hit as a result of the weekend All-Ireland SFC results as they are eased out to Even money from 10/11. The recent price move won’t deter punters however as the Dubs continue to hold a large liability in the book.”
