Estates Due To Have Electricity Cut Off
With Derg Manor Dromineer and Pallasderg Newtown having had their lights cut off unexpectedly in the last few weeks i would like you to contact Electric Ireland and ask them for a full list of estates in Tipperary that they are proposing to cut off into the future. I know that they contact the council first to see if there is any water treatment plants in these estates before they cut off the electricity to the lights. I think that people living in these estates deserve better as they for the most part have been tax compliant having paid Household charge, Property tax , Water Charges and all other taxes that they have had forced on them some with promises of Local services . I feel that these people are being disenfranchised and may have a case for an exemption for some of these taxes as they are not getting the promised services . Some of these estates havent even looked for their estate to be taken in charge as they saw it as a lost cause with a 10 year waiting time to be taken in charge they just paid for their own grasscutting.
