National Macra AGM comes to North Tipperary
This year the National Macra na Feirme AGM is being hosted by North Tipperary Macra na Feirme under the theme “Keep it country, keep it safe” with the generous support of Arrabawn and ABP. The AGM will take place on the 7th May in The Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh during which hundreds of young people will attend for the day’s and night’s events.
The upcoming launch for the Macra na Feirme AGM is taking place next Friday evening (April 1st) in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh at 5.30pm
Delegates from the 31 Macra Na feirme regions and counties will attend the meeting where 12 new National Council Representatives will take up their roles.
The AGM will kick off with a review of Macra Na Feirme over the past year. Issues arising will then be discussed and motions brought before delegates will be debated to ensure an excellent start to the new Macra Na Feirme year and beyond.
At the end of the formal proceedings delegates along with members from clubs all over the country will be treated to one of Macra Na Feirme’s most anticipated competitions as the final of The Impromptu Debating competition will take place.
That night, there will be a celebratory meal at 7.30pm followed by some party games and the one and only Outta Diesel and DJ till late. Tickets are €20 for Macra Na Feirme Members, €25 for Non Members.
Accommodation in The Abbey Court is available for the night, rates are as follows and are on a first come – first serve basis:
- Single room: €75 bed and breakfast per night
- Twin/Double: €90 bed and breakfast per night.
There are also a range of lodges that can be booked for larger groups. The prices for these are as follows:
- 5 bedroom lodge (can sleep 10): €259 for one night
€429 for two nights.
- 8 bedroom lodge (can sleep 16): €369 for one night
€629 for two nights
Note: Breakfast is not included for those staying in the lodges.
