Pauric O’Meara Voice Of Ireland Favourite After Maniac Rendition

The Voice of Ireland has a new clear favourite to win after just the second Blind Auditions.

Pauric O’Meara blew all four coaches away with his unique take on the Mark McCabe classic ‘Maniac 2000’. After joining Team Bressie the Tipperary native shot straight into the betting as the 3/1 favourite. Also joining team Bressie was Nerissa Moore (20/1) from Donegal, after he was the only coach to turn for her.

Rivalling Pauric O’Meara are Emmie Reek, a drag queen from Brazil who joined Team Una, and Luke Ray Lacey, a Carlow native and Team Kian member, who are both priced at 8/1.

Andrew Barry made up the rest of team Kian after the second instalment of the Voice of Ireland and is priced at 20/1 to win.

As well as Emmie, Una gained another two new members to her fast growing team, Mags White from County Cork, who can be backed at 16/1, and Fiona Garvey, who came all the way from Chicago and is a 20/1 shot.

Rachel Stevens only added one new member to her team, Caoimhe McCarthy from Mullignar, who is priced at 20/1.

Aoife Heffron, PR Executive for BoyleSports commented “Pauric left the coaches a little confused as to what he was singing, but his unusual take on Mark McCabe’s Maniac 2000 worked a treat and is all anyone is taking about since his audition aired. He has already seen support and no doubt Tipperary are firmly behind him to win.”

She added “Emmie Reek and Luke Ray Lacey are behind Pauric in the betting, but the threat for favouritism is feeble as they are on offer at the much larger price of 8/1.”
