CONGRESS 2015
It was interesting to note in the discussion paper published last week by Ard Stiúrthóir, Páraic Ó Dufaigh on Player Overtraining and Burnout and the GAA Fixtures Calendar that “most of the proposals in the paper were generated in a series of committee reports over the past eleven years”. However, in relation to the “extra time” reference in the report no mention was made to the fact that Tipperary’s motion 5 at this year’s Congress as proposed by JK Brackens Club was more or less to do with the same issue, it was not carried and indeed gained a lot of media coverage before Congress took place over the perceived loss of revenue to the Association if replays didn’t go ahead etc. Is it a case again of Tipperary leading the way?
