This was another very successful night for Devil’s Bit and the finished products were very well received by those who attended. Well done to Catherine and those to organised the cookery night.
Nenagh Macra Na Feirme
Last weekend was a busy one yet again for Nenagh Macra. Our monthly club meeting took place on Fridayevening in the Eagle’s Nest Dolla with the North Tipperary final of public speaking taking place afterwards. An abundance of upcoming events are planned over the next month and plenty of new members were in attendance. Well done to our public speaking team who delivered a fantastic presentation on the topic “Should GAA players be paid in the modern day sport”. Unfortunately the girls narrowly lost out on the night.
On Saturday night last, Nenagh Macra members enjoyed a fantastic night at the Ferbane Banagher’s Harvest Hooley fundraising event. The event was run by the Co Offaly club and was held in Luker’s in Shannon Bridge. Our members enjoyed the music and food on the night. Well done to all the organisers.
With another busy week ahead we all look forward to attending the National Macra na Feirme Conference in Cork over the bank holiday weekend. With plenty of exciting tours and social events, all here in Nenagh will be travelling down to enjoy the highlight of the Macra calendar. We all wish our two Macra members Nora Ryan and Chris Doughan the very best of luck in the stockjudging final on the Sunday morning of the conference. Nora will represent North Tipp Macra in the sheep and Chris will represent us in the beef.
