Cookery Demo/Mechanics Class: Devil’s Bit Macra recently held a second cookery demonstration in Fitzpatrick’s Country Club Clonmore. At this demonstration Catherine Maher showed members how to make lasagne, cottage pie and a fabulous banoffee pie. As members waited for the food to cook Tom Kelly showed off his mechanical skills and showed members how to change a car wheel. Afterward everyone tasted the delicious food. Thanks to all club members who attended on the night. Thanks to John Fitzpatrick for the use of his facilities and to Catherine and Tom for showing us their skills.
Fitness Class: On Friday night last Devil’s Bit Macra held the first of their fitness classes. This was an idea suggested by some members as a way to encourage health and fitness within the club. After the class everyone was refreshed and full of energy!!! All members how attended on the night enjoyed the experience and look forward to the next class. A big thank you to Tom Stamp for putting us through our paces on Firday.
Officer Training: Many club members who hold positions on the North Tipp Macra committee recently travelled to County Officer Training in Limerick. Training consisted of a weekend where committee members took part in events which will help them in the county roles. During the weekend many of our members who held county positions last year received leadership awards for the hard work they put in during their term. Well done to them. On September 19th and 20th Devil’s Bit Macra committee members will travel to Limerick to take part in Club Officer Training. There is no doubt they will come back with many tips and ideas for the club for the coming year.
