Cloughjordan Cineclub continues to celebrate 10 years of community cinema in Cloughjordan with a screening of MARSHLAND in the Thomas MacDonagh Heritage Centre, Lower Main Street on Sunday 20 September @ 8pm. €7, pay at the door, all welcome.
An atmospheric murder mystery set in a Spain slowly emerging from the shadows of the Franco era. Two teenage girls have disappeared. Detectives arrive from Madrid to investigate and soon find themselves at odds with a community deeply suspicious of their presence and yoked to misogynistic attitudes of the past.
