Autumn Training For Business

LEO Tipperary with offices in Clonmel and Nenagh recently launched their Autumn training calendar, “Train to Gain” which details up to 20 training courses, workshops, events and initiatives designed to support the County’s existing and potential entrepreneurs. The Local Enterprise Office is the “first stop shop” for anyone looking to start or grow a business and a meeting with a Business Advisor can be arranged across Tipperary’s five Municipal Districts or on site in the case of established microenterprises.
The Local Enterprise Office provides a range of financial and non financial supports for entrepreneurs and firms employing 10 or less staff. Grants include Feasibility Study, Priming and Business Expansion in addition to Website, Exhibition and On Line Trading Vouchers. The LEO has an extensive Mentor and Consultants panel and professionals from this panel are assigned to work with local businesses to address issues across all business functions such as marketing, finance, HR, product development, branding, intellectual property and copyright etc.
Business skills training courses scheduled includes the standard Start Your Own Business as well as a dedicated programme focussed on Starting a Food Business, Basic Book-keeping and Financial One to One Clinics, HACCP in simple steps for the small business, a workshop entitled “Why People Fail to Sell” are all planned. Social Media and ICT feature strongly this Autumn with courses scheduled such as Pinterest & Instagram for Business, Web Marketing Clinics, Creating Online Marketing Videos on a budget, Getting Irish Business On Line (GIBO), a Digital Masterclass for Tourism Providers and Facebook for Advanced Users.
The LEO has also organised a 3 day intensive training programme on Process Implementation for IS EN 1090-1 (2011) for Engineering Businesses. The “Train to Gain” brochure is available from the Local Enterprise Office and contains details on the Clonmel Digital Media Festival taking place from 18 to 22 November and the Tipperary Tourism Networking Event at Bru Boru in Cashel on 20 October.
All courses can be booked on line at www.localenterprise.ie/tipperary. Booking fees have been kept to a minimum for small businesses and range from €10 up to €50 for Start Your Own Business Courses. The unemployed or BTWA beneficiaries may avail of course fee waivers on submission of certification from their DSP Employment Services office. Early booking is advised as numbers are strictly limited and places are allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
