Tipperary Water Babies Dive Into Autumn Term
Free Taster Classes On 29 August – Cashel & Clonmel
Water Babies, Ireland’s leading baby swim school which teaches swimming to over 4,000 babies and toddlers in Ireland every week will commence their Autumn term of classes in Tipperary on Saturday, 29 August.
September is a great time to start a new class or learn a new skill and Water Babies offers fun, innovative baby swimming classes, taught by world-class instructors. With a multi-award winning programme which teaches vital water confidence and safety skills from birth, the overall aim is to teach parents to teach their baby how to swim.
Elaine & George Dunne, who brought Water Babies classes to Tipperary and the South East three years ago teach weekly classes to babies (under 12 months) and toddlers (1-3 years). Water Babies classes take place in Rockwell College (SaturdayMornings) near Cashel and St Joseph’s Ferryhouse, Clonmel (Saturday afternoons) from Saturday, 29 August.
Water Babies will be holding FREE taster classes in both Clonmel and Cashel on Saturday, 29th August. The free Water Babies lesson gives parents an opportunity to experience what baby swimming with Water Babies is really like and show that it is an amazing way to spend a half hour with your baby. Elaine Dunne said “Water Babies is such magical experience for babies. They absolutely love the sensation of floating in warm water. The repetitive movements of bouncing and splashing provide a great stimulation for their sense of motion and balance.”
The Water Babies programme, which is designed to make the most of babies’ natural affinity with water, teaches confidence and safety, using specialist techniques that see many swimming short distances from as young as 30 months. Baby swimming is an entirely safe and gentle activity which helps parents bond with their baby while giving them a lifetime’s water confidence and safety skills. Swimming from birth stimulates the brain and develops muscles in a safe, relaxed way and water is a familiar environment that babies love.
The Water Babies swimming course is very different to traditional swimming lessons. Because Water Babies only use warm water pools (30° or above) babies can join classes from birth and immunisations are not required or necessary in order to start classes. And while the emphasis is on having fun, the course is carefully structured, with progressive lesson plans for each week.
